The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS) is a secure, hands-on environment where they can develop and innovate as global citizens – to come together to share in development, networking and practice. This is how University plans to shape and change the world we live in, while they develop their own knowledge and skills.

THUAS lecturers, partners and 26,000 students from nearly 150 different countries are dedicated to this development every day. The global, innovative attitude is reflected throughout our curricula and in our four central themes: The Next Economy, Quality of Life: People and Technology, Good Governance for a Safe World and Connected Learning. They also work closely with over 300 exchange partners from more than 50 countries, from Brazil and China to Australia, USA and several European countries.

University encourages students, lecturers and partners to develop into open-minded global citizens – to stand firm in their own convictions and face the world. They realise that their own professional commitment makes a difference and all must work together to develop and apply creative solutions.

The Hague is the perfect location to become a global citizen. It is the International City of Peace and Justice – the political and cultural heart of the Netherlands. The Hague provides a window to the world, but at the same time it is a cosy and safe environment, in which everything is compact and within easy reach. You’ll discover this. Find your way around the city, along the coast and to the cosy bars. The city has a lot to offer you and the reverse is also true. So: enjoy your time here in The Hague.

Finding suitable and cheap accommodation in The Hague can be a daunting process. But there are plenty of organisations that are here to help. Housing agencies, for example DuWO and The Student Hotel specialise in letting to students. There is also Housing Anywhere a portal offering rooms for short-term sublet by students to other students.
