Pancyprian exam results are out

The results of the Pancyprian exams became available on the website of the ministry, education minister Prodromos Prodromou announced on Monday morning. Monday’s results show that of the more than 7,000 students who took them only 13 managed to get the perfect score of 20 out of 20. As in previous years, the average mark in core subjects remains below 50 per cent. Final year students start exams 

The Pancyprian exams started on Tuesday, 9th of June  with 7,352 students sitting a three-hour exam in modern Greek, around three weeks after they were initially scheduled to start. Of the students, 5,465 have applied for positions in public universities in Cyprus and Greece while 1,887 just want to get a school leaving certificate. A total of 653 are candidates for military schools. Exams will last until June 26. The new dates of entrance exams for students in Private Schools have been announced

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth announced in a letter sent on the 30th of April, to all Directors of Private Secondary Schools, the new dates of entrance exams and registrations for the school year 2020 - 2021. The entrance exams for the admission of students in September 2020, will be held from Saturday 16 May 2020 until and Wednesday 27 May 2020 including the two dates. Students within their final year of secondary school will go back to class on 11th May 2020

Schools will reopen only to students who are in their final year, in both the public and private sector. Education Minister Prodromos Prodromou announced on Thursday, 30 April 2020, the details for those final year pupils in public lyceums and technical schools as well as final year pupils of private schools who will return to classrooms on May 11.
