On Thursday, September 5, 2023, the Fresher’s Fair 2023 was held at the Journalists’ Center (Dimosiografiki Estia) in Nicosia with resounding success. The event was organized by Global Education with the National Student Association of Cypriots (EFEK UK) in the United Kingdom.
The Fresher’s Fair featured the participation of over 30 Hellenic-Cypriot Student Associations based in the United Kingdom. Its primary aim was to provide first-year students going for studies in the United Kingdom with an opportunity to meet the members of university student associations and gather valuable information about their new city of residence.
During the event, various speeches were delivered. The opening address was given by Mr. Loizos Konstantinou, the President of the Cyprus Confederation of Parents’ Associations of Secondary Education, followed by a representative from Deloitte, Ms. Andri Antoniou. The event concluded with a brief message from Mr. Thomas Petrou, the President of ΕΦΕΚ UK, who expressed his gratitude to all participants and attendees. The Managing Director of Global Education, Chris Sofroniou, reiterated the company’s commitment to always stand by the students.
Global Education, as the organizer, would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to all those who attended the event, as well as to the Cypriot Societies for their continued support of the Fresher’s Fair year after year. Special thanks are also due to the Cyprus Confederation of Parents’ Associations of Secondary Education for placing the event under its auspices.
Furthermore, warm appreciation is extended to the major sponsor of the event, Deloitte, and to the event’s supporters for their invaluable assistance: Student Letting (www.studentletsuk.com), Global Sports Division, and Mica Copy Center. Lastly, we express our gratitude to the event’s media sponsors, Mix FM radio station, and the youth portal, Studentlife.com.cy.
