WELCOME TO FRANCE
France is a member state of the European Union located in its western region, with several overseas territories and islands located on other continents. France is a unitary semi-presidential republic with its main ideals expressed in the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen.
Today France is the world’s fourth largest economy and second largest exporter of services. The successes of France’s scientists, engineers and designers are known around the world through Airbus, the TGV (high-speed train), the Ariane rocket, the discovery of the human immune-deficiency virus, high fashion, luxury goods, fine food and wine, and much more.
Famous French owned companies include: LVMH (incl. Hennessy, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Séphora), L’Oréal, Groupe Danone, Air France, BNP Paribas, Société Générale, ACCOR, Publicis Group, Renault, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Dassault, Bouygues-Construction, Total, France Telecom, Orange, EADS and many more.
France is also one of the least expensive countries in Europe, and students enjoy many benefits. From university dining halls and residences to transportation and leisure activities, various discounts and offers allow students with a relatively modest budget to cover not only living expenses but a cultural life as well.
Studying in France
Studying in France means being part of one of the world’s most effective education systems. Imbued with the tradition of a thousand years of scholarship, France’s diversified network counts more than 3500 institutions of higher learning. The nation’s commitment to sound education is your guarantee of the value and integrity of the degree you will earn.
The institutions in France are broadly divided into universities and specialised schools. They differ in terms of their goals, structure and admission requirements. France’s famous «grandes écoles’» (literally in French ‘grand schools’ or ‘elite schools’) are a type of specalised school and are focused on a single subject area – mainly devoted to training high-level Business managers and engineers.
A degree from one of France’s elite business schools is a passport that allows the bearer to contemplate a career with no ceiling, extending to top management or to the creation of a new company. Excelial is a member of the Conference des Grandes Ecoles and a recognised institution in the French Higher Education System.
