VIA Design is Scandinavia’s largest design and business academy within the fashion and lifestyle industry. More than 1400 students are currently enrolled in VIA Design programmes within the areas of fashion and textiles, as well as furniture and furnishings. VIA Design is located in a rather small town called Herning. That is a trade fair and congress centre in Denmark.
VIA Design has very strong connections with the companies within fashion and lifestyle. One of the partners is Bestseller which owns many international brands you may know like: Jack & Jones, VERO MODA, MAMA LICIOUS, PIECES, SELECTED, ONLY etc. Often students work with projects connected to these brands.
It is very good to study at VIA Design as an international student as the school has established an international student office to help the students to feel just like at home.
VIA Design consists of five beautiful buildings and all classrooms and workshops are supplied with the latest technology, inspiring art, and well-thought-out architecture. The houses are open for the students 24/7. Apart from classrooms and workshops students will also find a student book shop, a trend studio, a fitness centre and much more in the buildings. In addition to studying Herning offers a wide range of activities which can please even the most choosy student. There are many cafés, a busy nightlife and many sport clubs, etc- something for each taste.
